There are so many exciting things to see and do on Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas, you’ll be hard-pressed fit it all into one day. The same is true when it comes to the food and drinks you’ll find on the private island — which is great, because in between conquering the tallest waterslide in North America at Thrill Waterpark and soaking up the sun in the Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool, you’re bound to work up an appetite. Fortunately, there’s something for every taste and diet on this island, and most of it is at complimentary dining venues.
ISLAND DINING DONE RIGHT
SKIPPER’S GRILL
One of the very first restaurants you’ll see when you get to Perfect Day at CocoCay is Skipper’s Grill. Located right on the harbor, this laid-back guest favorite is one of the island’s main free dining venues, offering delicious options that both parents and kids will love, like crisp salads, assorted sandwiches, tasty tacos and guacamole, juicy burgers and other family-friendly favorites hot off the grill. Also on the menu is fresh tropical fruit and an array of tantalizing desserts, including decadent double chocolate chip caramel brownies, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and refreshing soft serve ice cream — all served with a side of beautiful waterfront views. If you’re in the mood for a cold one, look for the self-serve beer station, available at an additional cost.
CAPTAIN JACK’S
Directly adjacent to Skipper’s Grill and Splashaway Bay, the lively Captain Jack’s is the best place to hang like a local while enjoying live jams, salty sea breezes and amazing food and drinks at the Perfect Day at CocoCay island. Live musicians set the mood with tunes all day long, while sweeping waterfront views remind you that it’s five o’clock somewhere — so why not let loose? The menu here is a la carte and spotlights crispy golden steak fries and chicken wings served up with an assortment of signature sauces, including TLC (tequila, lime and chipotle), parmesan and peppercorn, honey mustard and sambal garlic aioli. There’s a full bar fashioned after a skiff, too, and hanging rope swing seats to help get you running on island time if you aren’t already. Coco Beach Club is the go-to spot for visitors looking to turn their beach day into a luxury getaway. If you purchase admission to this exclusive tropical hideaway, you’ll get to enjoy a bevy of premium perks, like a sprawling infinity edge pool with in-water loungers overlooking the Caribbean Sea, occasional live music performers, inclusive amenities, and rejuvenating spa offerings which you can book on the island, on the ship, or ahead of your visit via Cruise Planner. There are beachside cabanas and daybeds available for visitors to rent, but Coco Beach Club’s real treasure will be its overwater cabanas — the first ever in The Bahamas and a must if you’re looking to have the bougiest beach day ever. CHILL GRILL
Chill Grill is the largest restaurant on the island and one of Perfect Day at CocoCay’s best known complimentary dining venues. You’ll find it steps away from the tranquil blue shores of Chill Island. With plenty of shade and picnic tables, Chill Grill keeps the laidback vibes going strong all day long. Like Skipper’s Grill, Chill Grill serves up tasty beachside classics, like burgers, sandwiches (the jerk chicken and shaved rib eye cheesesteak are legendary), and tacos you can build yourself, not to mention to-die-for sides like country potato salad and fries. There are also plenty of options available if you’re vegetarian or trying to stay on the light side while rocking that swimsuit, like fresh fruit, crunchy mixed greens and a Portobello and mozzarella sandwich that definitely hits the spot. And of course, you’ll also find a full-service bar and a self-serve beer station in case you’re craving an ice-cold brew or a Bahama Mama. Alcoholic beverages come at an additional cost, but if you’ve purchased a drink package, you’re welcome to use it on the island.
SNACK SHACK
Snack Shack is probably the most accessible complimentary dining venue on Perfect Day at CocoCay. There are three of them on the island — one at Thrill Waterpark, one near Oasis Lagoon, and one on South Beach. True to its name, Snack Shack serves craving crushers like mozzarella sticks with marinara sauce, crispy salty fries, flavorful beef hot dogs, and a variety of salads. The real hall-of-fame dishes, though, are the signature Shack Burger — served on a brioche bun with American cheese, beef steak tomato, lettuce and special Shack Sauce — and the Shack Crispy Chicken Sandwich — also served on a brioche bun with pickles, basil and mayonnaise. With so many tempting beach day fixings, trying not to fill up will be quite the challenge. But the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, chewy chocolate caramel brownies and crispy sweet funnel cakes are well worth saving some room for.
JUST KEEP SIPPIN’
THE SWIM-UP BAR AT OASIS LAGOON
Head to Oasis Lagoon, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, and you’ll discover the liveliest swim-up bar in the tropics. Complete with in-water tables, this happening cocktail spot is home to a team of talented bartenders who know just how to mix up the perfect Coco Loco — the island’s signature drink. There’s music constantly playing on speakers to keep the party vibes here going strong, but dive below the surface of the water and you’ll find you can still hear the beats, thanks to state-of-the-art underwater speakers. Located within easy wading distance from the shore, the island’s famous floating bar is the place to go for the ultimate drink in paradise — just look for the floating tiki hut and head toward it. Before you know it, you’ll be soaking up views and floating along in an island state of mind as you bob gently on the waves.
WACKY SEAGULL & WACKY SEAGULL JR. BARS
Also located on Chill Island’s pristine shores, the Wacky Seagull and Wacky Seagull Jr. bars make it easy to grab cocktails or beer any time you feel like you want a refresher. The two sister bars are located at opposite ends of Chill Island — one is near the beach rentals kiosk on the southwest corner of the island, and the other is close to the shore excursions kiosk on the side nearest Oasis Lagoon. Snag a drink and bring it back to your daybed or private cabana to enjoy beachside or stay a while at the bar and let the sound of crashing waves carry you away.

There is no admission fee to visit Perfect Day at CocoCay. Most of the experiences at Perfect Day at CocoCay are complimentary. Some of these include Oasis Lagoon, the largest freshwater pool in the Caribbean, the shipwrecked Captain Jill’s Galleon loaded with slides and water cannons, our biggest ever Splashaway Bay aqua park yet. Plus powdery sand beaches like Chill Island® and South Beach, offering plenty of free beach chairs with umbrellas and beachside activities. And in between adventures, you can fuel up at five complimentary dining venues located throughout the island.

There is no admission fee to visit Perfect Day at CocoCay. Most of the experiences at Perfect Day at CocoCay are complimentary. However, you’ve also got your choice of even more one-of-a-kind experiences available for a charge such as Thrill Waterpark, featuring the tallest waterslide in North America, Coco Beach Club, featuring the first Overwater Cabanas in The Bahamas, and Up, Up & Away helium balloon, offering you views from the highest vantage point in The Bahamas.

You’ll find Perfect Day at CocoCay has many amenities available, but here are some things that would be convenient to have on hand.
SeaPass card and cash
You’ll need your SeaPass card to exit and re-board the ship. It’s also how you’ll pay for things on the island. Please note, there’s also an island market with local Bahamian crafts, where items can be charged with your SeaPass card (until 2:30 p.m.) and cash (USD) is always accepted.
Towels
Beach towels are available onboard your ship, and can be brought onto the island, which you can refresh throughout the day as desired, at one of three towel stations. Since beach towels are provided onboard based on a check-out/check-in system, you should bring your towels back to the ship with you. Guests who have rented cabanas will have towels at the cabana and may leave the towels there upon departure.
Sun protection
Perfect Day at CocoCay offers complimentary umbrellas and shade structures in many places, but The Bahamas' sun can still be intense. Bring sun protection gear like hats, sunglasses, rashguards or other types of UPF clothing, and sunscreen. There are a lot of water features at Perfect Day at CocoCay, so be sure to reapply sunscreen often.
Proper footwear
Don’t forget proper shoes if you’re planning to ride the Zip Line at Perfect Day at CocoCay. Your shoes must have a closed toe area and be secured around the back of your foot as well. Sneakers or enclosed water shoes are great options.
Bug repellent
Depending on the time of year and time of day, there may be mosquitos, flies or other insects in some areas of the island.
Medications
Bring any prescription medications you may rely on. There are medical facilities on the island, but they may not have your specific medications on hand.
Supplies for baby
Don’t forget bottles and formula, diapers and swim diapers, wipes and sun protection gear for babies and tots.
PERFECT DAY-PLAN 1: AN EPIC FAMILY ADVENTURE
9 A.M.
Your family adventure starts with Arrivals Plaza as you map out and begin the day at Thrill Waterpark. A day pass gives you full-day access to 13 waterslides— including the tallest waterslide in North America— the largest wave pool in the Caribbean, the Adventure Pool and its many obstacles, and complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas.
Young thrill seekers can make a splash at Captain Jill’s Galleon, a shipwreck loaded with slides and water cannons located right next to Thrill Waterpark. And the littlest explorers have gallons of fun at our biggest-ever Splashaway Bay aqua park, with five waterslides, fountains, pools and two drench buckets. Both attractions are great complimentary options for small children.
Adventure tip: If you wish to leave the waterpark during your day, use your SeaPass card to enter and exit the park as often as you like.
11:30 A.M.
Perfect Day at CocoCay has a 1,600-foot long zip line course, where you’ll criss-cross the island and soar high above the harbor. Zip Line admission can be purchased separately or bundled with your admission to Thrill Waterpark.
Adventure tip: make sure to check the age and height restrictions for the Zip Line, water slides and pools beforehand. You’ll find all the information you need above.
12:30 P.M.
Enjoy lunch with a side of harbor views at the nearby Skipper’s Grill, serving up complimentary salads, sandwiches, tacos, burgers and other grilled favorites. Plus, self-serve beer at an additional cost.
2 P.M.
Wrap up your day with a shopping trip at CocoCay Island Market, or grab snorkeling gear at Chill Island® and delve into the underwater world.
4 P.M.
It’s time to head back to the ship, where more adventure awaits! To get back, just take the tram to the pier.
PERFECT DAY-PLAN 2: RELAX AND RECHARGE
8:30 A.M.
If you just want to unwind, head to Chill Island® on the east side of CocoCay, where you’ll find crystal clear tropical waters, powdery white sands, and plenty of ways to relax and recharge. Access to Chill Island® is complimentary, as are beach chairs, but for an additional cost you can up your relaxation game by reserving your own private cabana or daybed at Breezy Bay.
Looking for the ultimate beach day experience? You can post up at Coco Beach Club. Admission includes access to an exclusive beach, a beachfront infinity edge pool with in-water loungers, a clubhouse, beach chairs and umbrellas, and complimentary dining at the Coco Beach Club restaurant, where you’ll enjoy an elevated menu including filet mignon and lobster. You’ll also find the first Floating Cabanas in The Bahamas here, and each rental includes admission to Coco Beach Club for up to eight people.
12 P.M.
At lunchtime, tuck into some beachside BBQ at Chill Grill, the island’s largest dining venue, offering complimentary grab and go options plus a self-serve beer station at an additional cost. It’s the perfect spot to break for lunch and catch a glimpse of the zipliners crisscrossing over the harbor, too.
1 P.M.
It’s five o’clock somewhere, so grab a Coco Loco— CocoCay’s signature drink— at the swim-up bar before lounging on one of the three swim-up islands in Oasis Lagoon, the Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool. The south end of the lagoon has a kid-friendly sloping entry in case you’ve got little adventurers in tow. If you’re craving a bite to eat, a nearby Snack Shack serves up complimentary burgers, hot dogs, salads — and ice-cold beer available for an additional charge.
4 P.M.
You’ve now achieved your perfect ten zen— it’s time to head back to the ship. The tram runs every 15 minutes and will drop you off at the pier.
PERFECT DAY-PLAN 3: A PERFECT BLEND OF THRILLS AND CHILL
9 A.M.
Your day begins with a splash at Thrill Waterpark. Purchase a day pass— you’ll enjoy full-day of access to all of the water slides and attractions. And when you’re ready to check out the private island’s other offerings later in the day, grab your SeaPass for easy re-entry whenever you want.
12 P.M.
Enjoy lunch at Skipper’s Grill, which offers complimentary salads, sandwiches, tacos, burgers and a self-serve beer station at an additional cost, all with a side of sea breezes and peaceful harbor views. Then get ready to take to the skies in Up, Up and Away, a 10-minute helium balloon ride that soars up to 450 feet above the island— the highest vantage point in The Bahamas. Up, Up and Away is available to adventurers of all ages.
2 P.M.
Next, head to Chill Island® on the east side of CocoCay— the ultimate beach escape with clear tropical waters and white sand beaches. Or head to Oasis Lagoon and hit the swim-up bar for a Coco Loco in the Caribbean’s largest freshwater pool.
4 P.M.
Now that you’re fully refreshed and recovered from the morning’s adventures, take the tram to the pier and head back to the ship.

Excursions can be modified or cancelled up to 48 hours prior to port arrival without penalty. Tours involving flights, trains, special events, overnight stays, hotel stays and Private Journeys must be cancelled 30 days prior to sailing to avoid cancellation penalties. For medical emergencies, there is a response plan that will bring the guest back to the ship for treatment.

- You are welcome to record your Perfect Day at CocoCay memories with your GoPro camera. However, for your safety, personal electronic devices of any kind are not allowed on any of the following attractions:
- All water slides at Thrill Waterpark
- Adventure Pool in Thrill Waterpark
- Splashaway Bay
- Captain Jill’s Galleon
- On the island’s Zip Line, riders who wish to wear a GoPro must bring their own helmet mount that attaches securely to the helmet or secure GoPro to the body. If the staff notices the camera prevents a guest from safely participating in the activity at any time, they may ask the guest to remove or adjust the camera.

- At Perfect Day at CocoCay, does a parent or guardian have to go to Thrill Waterpark with a child? Can kids go to Thrill Waterpark by themselves?
- Thrill Waterpark guests under 14 must be accompanied by a ticketed guest age 14 or older to enter the park, and while inside the park.
- Can minors go on a Shore Excursion at Perfect Day at CocoCay on their own?
- For all Shore Excursions at Perfect Day at CocoCay (except Thrill Waterpark and the Certified Dive), all guests under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a supervising adult from their group 18 years or older. This person cannot be a member of our staff.
- Do I need to bring my driver’s license to operate a Wave Jet during the guided tour?
- Guests ages 16 to 20 will need to show a valid driver’s license to operate a Wave Jet.
- Is there a kids menu at the restaurant at Coco Beach Club at Perfect Day at CocoCay?
- Yes, there is a specific menu for kids available, as well as a buffet with salads and a variety of starters to satisfy even the pickiest eaters.
